Volunteeer Spotlight: After-School Academic Support

Contact Americorps member Kate Phillips at k.phillips@fgcschool.org or 503-359-4600 to volunteer to be part of our new after-school tutoring program, The Treehouse.  Volunteer forms are also available on the bulletin board near the student entrance in the main building.

Family Participation 

FGCS depends on the active participation of parents and other family members to support our school. There are many ways that you can be involved. We need volunteers to:

• serve on the Safety Patrol

• chaperone Out & Abouts

• help in classrooms

• serve on the Board of Directors (learn more here)

• serve on the Parent-Teacher Organization PTO (learn more here)

• serve on strategic planning committees handling Ecoliteracy/Sustainability, Curriculum, Professional Development, Strategic Partnerships, Communication, Facilities, and Assessment. (Contact Board Chair Jon Stagnitti for more information.)

• teach after-school classes

• lead after-school clubs
