FGCS is participating in COVID-19 testing programs available to K-12 students. Detailed information about these programs is available on the Oregon Health Authority K-12 testing web page. FGCS is not participating in Test-to-Stay.
Weekly Screening Program The weekly screening program provides free at-home COVID saliva test kits every week. On a specific day each week (TBD), students do the tests at home and bring the completed test kit to school that same day. Test kits are picked up by an OHSU courier and tested within 24 hours. Parents are notified of positive or inconclusive test results. To participate in the screening program, parents are required to submit two signed forms: the OHA Consent Form and the OHSU Authorization Form.
Diagnostic Testing for Symptomatic Students Diagnostic testing is available for students who develop symptoms of illness at school and whose parents have submitted a signed consent form. Students may not come to school solely for the purpose of getting a diagnostic; students who appear ill at home should stay home and seek testing through their health care providers.
