Welcome to the Forest Grove Community School
The Forest Grove Community School is a free public charter school that engages students in scholarship, stewardship and citizenship with the goal of educating for sustainability. We provide a caring, smaller school environment that challenges students to reach their highest potential through learning rooted in the local community. FGCS currently enrolls students in 1st through 8th grades. We operate under a charter contract with the Forest Grove School District and are governed by an independent board of directors. We are an Oregon non-profit corporation and a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. We serve students and families in and around Forest Grove, Oregon. We are located at 1914 Pacific Ave. in downtown Forest Grove, Oregon. You may contact us at 503-359-4600 or email@example.com.
Earthquakes: How Can You Prepare?
When to Keep Your Child Home from School
If your child isn't feeling well, it can be hard to know whether to send them to school or keep them home. While we want kids to be in school as much as possible, it's important for them to stay home when they are ill - for their own sake as well as to avoid infecting others. Click here to read guidelines for when to keep your child at home because of illness.
Have You Read the Family-Student Handbook?
Click here to download a copy of the 2015-16 Family-Student Handbook (or request a hard copy in the school office). The handbook contains important information about our school operations, policies and practices. We encourage all parents to read the handbook carefully, discuss relevant portions with their students and contact us with any questions.
