Welcome to the Forest Grove Community School
The Forest Grove Community School is a free public charter school that engages students in scholarship, stewardship and citizenship with the goal of educating for sustainability. We provide a caring, smaller school environment that challenges students to reach their highest potential through learning rooted in the local community. FGCS currently enrolls students in 1st through 8th grades.
We operate under a charter contract with the Forest Grove School District and are governed by an independent board of directors. We are an Oregon non-profit corporation and a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. We serve students and families in and around Forest Grove, Oregon. We are located at 1914 Pacific Ave. in downtown Forest Grove, Oregon. You may contact us at 503-359-4600 or information@fgcschool.org.
School Supplies Lists - Cash Option for Levels 1&2
Hate driving around looking for the best deals on school supplies, only to find that there aren't any eco-friendly options? If you have students in Level 1 or 2, FGCS can help! This year, we are piloting a plan to purchase school supplies in bulk to get the best prices, make eco-friendly purchases, minimize wasteful packaging and make sure our classrooms are well-supplied throughout the year. Level 1 and 2 supplies are pooled for classroom community use, so why not let us take care of the shopping for you? Families who choose the cash option pay $20 (cash or check only), which will provide enough funds to outfit our classrooms with quality supplies for the school year. We hope most Level 1 and 2 families will choose this option because, the more we have to spend, the better the deals we can get by purchasing in bulk. However, paying cash is truly an option this year; if you prefer to purchase supplies yourselves, please buy the items on the lists below. If you do want to participate, you may give $20 to your child's classroom teacher during family visits or pay in the school office. The cash option is not available for Level 3 students this year because supplies for students at that level will be individual, with students responsible for maintaining and bringing supplies they need to school each day. You can find supplies lists for all levels here.
