School Lunch Program Info

FGCS is a National School Lunch Program sponsor and offers a hot lunch program that meets all federal requirements for a healthy, nutritious lunch. Lunch costs $3/day but families who qualify may receive school lunch free or at a reduced price (currently 40 cents). Look for School Lunch Program Information on the Documents page for details and application forms. All students who want school lunch must order lunch monthly regardless of payment status so we know how much food to order. Menu/order forms are posted with the date orders are due and sent by email month and can be found on the Documents page or in the school office. Questions? When to Keep Your Child Home from School

If your child isn't feeling well, it can be hard to know whether to send them to school or keep them home. While we want kids to be in school as much as possible, it's important for them to stay home when they are ill - for their own sake as well as to avoid infecting others. Click here to read guidelines for when to keep your child at home because of illness.

Welcome to the Forest Grove Community School

We provide a caring, smaller school environment that challenges students to reach their highest potential through learning rooted in the local community. We are an Oregon non-profit corporation and a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. We serve students and families in and around Forest Grove, Oregon. We are located at 1914 Pacific Ave. in downtown Forest Grove, Oregon. You may contact us at 503-359-4600 or information@fgcschool.org.

Empty Bowls Feast March 19 to Fight Hunger in Our Community

FGCS is hosting an Empty Bowls Feast on Thursday, March 19 at the Forest Grove UCC Church.  Tickets are available in the office through March 13 for a suggested donation $10, but all are welcome regardless of contribution level. Empty Bowls is a worldwide grassroots movement to end hunger. The premise of Empty Bowls is simple: individuals make handcrafted bowls, which are used to serve a simple meal of soup and bread. Participants take home a bowl at the end of the feast as a reminder of all the empty bowls in the world. Level 2 and 4 students are making bowls in preparation for the feast; Level 1 and 3 students will make soup and bread. Proceeds from our feast will benefit Family Bridge, a local program supporting families in need.
