Welcome to the Forest Grove Community School

The Forest Grove Community School is a free public charter school that engages students in scholarship, stewardship and citizenship with the goal of educating for sustainability. We provide a caring, smaller school environment that challenges students to reach their highest potential through learning rooted in the local community. FGCS currently enrolls students in 1st through 8th grades.  We operate under a charter contract with the Forest Grove School District and are governed by an independent board of directors. We are an Oregon non-profit corporation and a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. We serve students and families in and around Forest Grove, Oregon. We are located at 1914 Pacific Ave. in downtown Forest Grove, Oregon. You may contact us at 503-359-4600 or information@fgcschool.org.

2012-13 Enrollment Opens January 15 ~ Returning Student Information Due March 1st

FGCS will begin accepting applications for 2012-13 enrollment on Jan. 15, 2012 for students entering 1st-8th grades. You may download an enrollment form here or ask for one in the school office. Open enrollment closes April 1, 2012.  Click here for details about our enrollment policy and process.

Current student families, please let us know your plans for the 2012-13 school year no later than March 1. Current students have priority for classroom spaces next year, so knowing your plans is essential to determining how many spaces are available for new students. Please contact Vickie Jares at 503-359-4600 or v.jares@fgcschool to let us know whether your student plans to re-enroll at FGCS. Of course, we hope that all of our current students will return next year but we know that families sometimes consider making a change for a variety of reasons. If have questions or concerns that you would like to have addressed as part of your decision, please contact our principal Vanessa Gray at v.gray@fgcschool.org or 503-359-4600.
