Our Meals Program/26-27 Updates

• Starting in the 26-27 school year, there are several important changes to our school meals program:
  • FGCS will offer school meals to all students at no cost regardless of household income or other eligibility criteria under the Community Eligiblity Provision (CEP). Families no longer are required to submit meal benefits applications online.
  • Monthly breakfast/lunch menus will continue to be posted on this page and shared via ParentSquare so parents/students know what is being served each day.
  • We will no longer be collecting monthly order forms. Students who want school meals should line up for those meals at the scheduled times. Parents are asked to make sure students know whether they should line up for school breakfast and/or lunch. Any student who asks for a meal will be provided the meal at no cost.

Our Food Vendor: FGCS contracts with Fresh 'n Local Foods (FNL), a Salem-based company, for school breakfast and lunch meals that meet federal nutritional standards. Lunches include a main hot entree, fresh fruit, fresh vegetable and milk. Breakfasts are 'grab and go,' intended to be eaten upon the student's arrival at school before the school day begins.

Alternate lunch meals are available for students with special dietary needs documented by a physician's note or parent request form. Please fill out the relevant form below and drop it off in the school office.

Alternate lunches available through Fresh 'n Local Foods are cold sack lunches containing a vegetarian/gluten-free/dairy-free entree, fresh fruit, fresh vegetables and choice of milk. Please contact the school office at 503-359-4600 with questions about alternate meals.

To file a program discrimination complaint, a Complainant should complete a Form AD-3027, USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form which can be obtained online at: U.S. Department of Agriculture USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, from any USDA office, by calling (866) 632-9992, or by writing a letter addressed to USDA. The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
